Sartre's primary obsession like most philosophers at the time is how to deal with nihilism. His solution is to fill the void of meaning with your personal freedoms, for your individuality is the very reason you don't feel you belong, and is thus the on thing you can a lean on (or become a mindless drone, I guess).
To him, a very libertarian opinion, assert your freedom without disrespecting other's freedom. The NAP is the basis of ethics in nihilism for him.
The problem with this philosophy : it's a very lonely one. To the rest of the world, you're crazy and dysfunctional.
