I know a guy in Vancouver that was a Vietnam era draft dodger. He lived with his mom getting his degree in French literature in Oregon. He fucked off to Canada in 1967 and has been on welfare ever since. He rides his old Raleigh bike to the Stanley Park tennis courts every dry weather morning to play tennis. He comports himself with the dignity of a haughty English gentleman. Sometimes he supplements his meager income pulling weeds for a Chinaman under the table. Once a month on welfare cheque day he buys a fifth of scotch, a gram of coke and a hooker. Then he returns to the big old 1920's barn of a house where he rents a tiny windowless single room that's more like a walk in closet. Bathroom at the end of a hall shared with other welfare losers. Drunk and crashing from the coke he slowly carries his bike up the front steps and then near the top he throws himself back down the stairs and starts crying, wailing "YER ALL GONNA DIEEEEE!!" This goes on usually for 20 minutes or so. He regards people like me who work at the most miserable jobs, like hospital janitor or gyproc packing as class traitors. Yes he's a communist of course.

I've met him and his fellow welfare bums and they are the most angry bitter stubborn haters you could ever imagine.

There should be no welfare save for cripples.
