i'm hopelessly exasperated with this squalid gulag which somehow manages to be even more spiritually rotten and depressing than it is languid and destitute; the soviet union produced great art but we've slid into such forlorn nepotocracy that even the arts are nothing but a paludified swamp complete with reflecting ponds of fetid stagnant water
