it's the same reason as to why the traveler couldn't resonate with the pyro statue? why?
or xilonen needing to risk her life to make an ancient name and at the end we see none of the "risking her life" and we didn't even need the ancient name.

it's like they write plot threads for no reason at all, they could have never written childe's vision not working and the story would be the exact same, it's like they just waste story time writing stuff that doesn't matter
