this happens everywhere, all the time. The verisimilitude of the story far surpasses the exaggerations, in spirit at least. Calling it a "cautionary tale" implies that this is a sort of an exception to the rule, an isolated case. For many dudes this could easily be reality.
Also, it's not like the flip side is any better. Settling for a used up whore as a paypig isn't exactly what anyone would call a picture perfect ending.
