If they ever made GKND, It would work better if the characters were preteens appropriating their 13th birthday, Hell you could even make a early sub plot that Number 5 got passed up for the TND program and she has to choose between doing the Honorable thing and get her mind wiped or following in her Sisters footsteps and defecting to the Teens. This would be shortly before the whole space plot of course.
