I would tell them not to bring any slaves over. Get your lazy asses out in the fields and do it yourself.
I would tell the same to the white South Africans. Pay poor people from Europe to come work in the mines, it will be more expensive upfront but will be much better in the long run. They just need to get through a few decades before technology advances enough that most of those jobs require many less laborers.
