Anons! Today we're talking about what makes good Support Cards, and how to identify ones you should roll for. Let's use the oft-talked about upcoming Kitasan Black as an example. She's Speed, which is one of if not the strongest type. She provides great skills. And she also has tons of +Mood in her events, but that's also not all either.

The key thing here is Specialty Rate Up! At MLB, Kitasan has +80 Specialty Rate Up, with the unique effect adding another +20, for a grand total of +100! In other words, she'll almost always be showing up for Speed training, which is exactly what you want to happen. That means tons of rainbow trainings! This is the main thing that makes her so obscenely good!

However! Kitasan only gains that huge +100 Specialty Rate Up at Level 45 - max duplicates! At Level 40, one off from MLB, it's only +60! +60 Specialty Rate Up is still amazing, but you see why people tell you why it's important to whale and max this card out. Of course, if you have zero extra copies at all, Kitasan is only gaining the +20 from the unique effect and nothing else!

Compare this to the SSR Sweep Tosho that comes out later - who has a massive +50 Specialty Rate Up at no duplicates! Assuming you're not whaling, 0 dupes Sweep will be showing up for rainbow Speed training MUCH more than 0 dupes Kitasan! You also have SR Speed cards like Curren Chan, who are far easier and cheaper to MLB, and has +65 Specialty Rate Up when maxed! Maxed SRs will almost always outperform 0 dupe SSRs and are easier to acquire!

Does this mean there's no point getting Kitasan if you're not going for max copies? Not necessarily. As many anons have said, we'll eventually get items to uncap your support cards without having to roll dupes. Even that aside, the skills and events that cards provide are as important to take into account as the straight-up boosts said card gives. But if you're F2P, keep in mind what's realistic to get and what the best use for your limited currency is!
