Bro, tons of the best looking killifish are annuals, so they die off in the winter after laying eggs. The eggs themselves need to go through a dry period before spring rains before hatching and starting the cycle all over again. Pic related. Even if you tried to keep them alive longer, very few people have a successfully kept specific specimens over a year.
TL:DR; grow killifish, let them die as they naturally do during Winter.
