i personally like both, but i'd say there's a level where it's not hot anymore
i do enjoy lisps appearing and vocabularies shrinking and emotions destabilizing and so on
but like piece-of-soap-style mental regression, where they're just permanently unable to talk or think at all, that, i'm usually not a fan of unless there's some other dynamic at play
