With Corporate permission for a jump, it’s hardly 2 hours before you’re emerging from a rip in the Ypsilon system. Pseudo-plasma billows off the prow of the Meridian Hauler after the jump, and with the Captain’s help you shift into the optimal route to the Megasteroid where Ypsilon-14 resides.
You quickly review the details of the station.
A standard prospecting mine station. Small.
9 crew, plus Dr. Giovanni and one likely unregistered synth-pet.
The Overseer, Sonya, likely doesn’t even realize that the substance she casually reported is the source of all this.
Last check-in from the station was 2 days ago, reported all normal. No clear reason for Giovanni to miss a q-comm transmission, in that case.
Unless something has changed.
…
The drift of the ship scatters a screen of micrometeors, but it is little consequence to save 15 minutes to the station on a max priority set of orders.
Speaking of time, it is time for you to rouse the crew from their Cryo-Pods. You glance at the cameras, and see them there. Three of the 6 pods occupied.
It begs the question, who will you personally tend to as they revivify? They all /can/ come to on their own, but you must consider the social dynamics of the crew and the upcoming task.
>Who do you decide to aid? [1].
>Parker. He is the most experienced of the crew, and ensuring he is ingratiated to you will provide advantages if unexpected conditions arise on the station.
>Eliza. She is the least experienced of the crew, but the ship’s doctor is crucial to have in optimum condition should any human repairs be required.
>Quentin. The marine is the only member of the crew that you have reason to believe might be able to overpower you, even if caught off guard. You keep your eye on him as a habit, accordingly.
>No one. They are all capable of coming to on their own. Instead, you will contact Sonya in advance and private to gain an understanding of current circumstances on the station.
===
>Additionally, the crew will roll [Body Checks] as they awaken from cryosleep. Give me 1d100 linked to this post. At least [3], at most [6].
