Its not "better" per say unless you do some ultra autistic sweaty strat. Its just that having an alt allows you to keep raiding without cucking people out of loot since recently released raids have a weekly lockout on loot once you have reclear them.
Also if you are aiming for just casual play having alts its not that bad but you have to be aware that some grinds/goals are very unrealistic to accomplish on alts due to just time.
