My girlfriend is Finnish and I'm american (white). Went to visit a few months ago. Absolutely amazing country. Got to visit several cities and go to restaurants. However I've been told trying to immigrate would be basically impossible and that the Tampere region is full of other college students who can't find any work and have to use breadlines. It sounds grim from what other Finns online have told me, work is scarce even for native speakers. Not sure how good my prospects would be if I tried to transfer colleges, just starting a CS program.
