They probably already made enough money, but retention is obviously bad. Things like the devs doubling down on a shitty story nobody wanted isn't going to be a huge factor when concerning fucking about in the postgame. If the corporate landscape wasn't so different compared to a decade ago, a cold shower would've been what the series needed, but to quote one anon:
