Its got excellent animation, music and decent a voice over, but we have become used to seeing good animated shows being paired with good narratives. Hibike simply drags on and on, has some of the most Indian television-tier drama ever, and the relationship that the show focuses on is, quite frankly, narratively dishonest. Like we spent 2 seasons on Kumi-Reina, essentially sent Shuichi from s2 and beyond to the shadow realm and yet at the end its Kumichi which sails. Like imagine the seething if, in the Lord of the Rings trilogy by PJ, Aragorn ends up with Gimli despite making out with the elf chick. Thats essentially what happened.
