Yost is actually a pretty funny guy unlike the vast majority of people assigned to write Peter in recent history.
The reason Love & Thunder was such steaming dogshit was that it was written by Taika Waititi as almost the only writer on it, when he didn't do any writing on Ragnarok and just directed it. Yost was one of the main writers for Ragnarok and also wrote Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Unfortunately there's way more money and prestige in movies and TV which is why he hasn't done much comic stuff lately (he did do kidpool and spiderboy which is why that book was actually fun)
