It's hard to tell. At this rate, it looks like it's less likely Canada will be admitted as a state and more likely it will be admitted as a territory, which increases likelihood of division on one hand and means less favorable treatment on the other. Homestead legislation will probably happen either way to settle northern regions of Canada. (In other words, there's going to be a program for free housing and large-scale construction which will drop Canadian housing prices dramatically.) It's possible Canada will be divided completely differently than it's currently divided as its population will be more northern after US annexation than it is currently, with less focus on east-west borders and more even borders that aren't virtually axial.
