Simultaneously he’s no war man either, he was the first to not draw a red line in the sand like Obama did in Ukraine, but gave them full access to US military equipment. He wants the Ukraine conflict settled peacefully, but he knows they have to be a valid and solvent state to do that.
Trump is a genuinely competent statesman, neither weak nor demanding you shed blood in a far off land.
Domestic policy wise he’s also the best president in 25 years.
