nobody suggested anything close to this. the speed at which run energy depletes when you start out doesnt make the world feel small it just makes it incredibly tedious to do anything. similarly removing run energy doesnt make the world feel small either it just makes the game less tedious

easier is not strictly a bad thing, having meaningful interactions with the game is. getting rid of the dull tedious spots allows for more of the latter. clicking a rope and clicking a tree stump every single time you want to enter a cave is not a meaningful interaction with the game. im really putting myself down on your level here though, because i think clues themselves are mostly a shitty idea anyway, yet another slot machine you are compelled to do to waste your time away from doing things that are actually challenging or brain-engaging in some way and if i didnt have runelite clue help i would probably never do clues
