Alright reviewed the Cag vs Perci replays and here's a couple pointers for now:
For neutral- (especially against Cag) I'd recommend trying to get into midrange more. His midrange normals are very oppressive against most of the cast.
You had a tendency to back away fullscreen to charge stocks + shoot fireballs or just wait around. This allowed me to easily control the pace of neutral. And in the case of Cagliostro it let me set up traps and fully charge rock (basically letting me get a free neutral skip).
Also, sometimes you approach from far away with jumps. The problem is that at that distance there isn't much I am threatened by. I mostly only have to worry about fireballs and dashes which can be checked from that distance. So it becomes very easy to react to jumps.
There was also a tendency to roll > throw midscreen which has really bad risk/reward.
Generally you should reserve committal options like jumps/rolls to call out specific moves or jump when your opponent is mental stacked from the options you have presented on the ground. Do not rely on them to neutral skip.
TLDR + few extra tips:
>do not try to outzone characters with better zoning
>force your way into midrange more
>once you are in abuse your big buttons, 66M, 66L, etc.
>I would also start using fireballs midrange to punish opponents spamming keepout normals
>do not jump/roll without a specific purpose
On defense:
>rely on DP less
>mash normals less when cornered (had a tendency to press normals when cornered, even when I was out of range letting me get a whiff punish. Mix in stealing your turn back with approaches, waiting/taking the throw and other defensive options)
We have a strong Ferry player who also has a very good Percival. If you ever see him in the lobby I’d recommend asking him Perci specific advice
