while they hate the idea of foreigners being in their country, it's mostly to do with the fact that they hate seeing traditions getting overwritten.
they hate seeing english on the menus, and english signs in their shops, and the whole movement to "modernise commerce" for tourists.
but when they find out that young people are actually interested in learning their language, learning about their culture, learning their traditions, they actually welcome it to an extent.
