I'm not sure if I've posted this in the last thread. I've written a little something about the Parent Gods and their changing daily aspects, here it is.
Mother Earth
Dawn (Healing, nurturing, renewal)
In the quiet hours before the sun fully rises, Mother Earth takes on the role of healer and nurturer. This is the time for recovery, restoration, and mending. Her web is blanketed with empathic warmth to renew the strength of those who suffered in the night. From subtle wishes like repairing relationships to giving someone the strength to endure their disease, she blesses and succors. This is perhaps Mother Earth most precious duty.
Late Morning to Noon (Activity, Nature)
As the sun climbs higher, Mother Earth becomes the embodiment of nature's untamed vitality. This phase is when she embodies the very forces of motivation itself; she gives the strength to put one foot in front of the next, she gives plants the strength to grow with the shining sun, and animals hunt and die... Life is nothing without the will to move.
Noon (Justice)
At the peak of her reign, Mother Earth takes her throne and becomes the goddess of Justice for one brief but powerful hour. It is not her role to meddle in the laws of men (though many invoke her) but to ensure the laws of reality haven't been violated, something magic does so very often. During this hour, Mother Earth reaffirms the very laws of reality itself, magic inside her web weakens.
Noon to dusk. (Civilisation)
As the sun begins to descend, Mother Earth assumes her role as the goddess of civilization. This is the time when human society comes into focus: governance, culture, laws... but also the bonds of communities, and their traditions. It is usually during this time that her servants make direct interventions in the world of mankind.
Dusk to Night (Fertility, family.)
As the day transitions into night, Mother Earth and Father Sky come together in a divine reunion, marking the beginning of a sacred time when the divine energy of fertility flows into the world. This reunion is the continuation of life itself: nothing is more important for the gods. The harmony of families is blessed, no matter how odd they seem.
Father Sky
Early Night (Sleep, Creativity)
As the night begins, Father Sky offers rest and solace for a hard day of labor, nourishing bodies and souls. He also watches over the minds of anyone who sacrifices their peaceful sleep for sparks of creativity in whatever they want to accomplish.
Midnight (Judgement)
The Father peers into all souls of all branches, finding otherwordly intruders and empowering his few chosen at the cost of his own body to safeguard the world.
Late Night. (Death and souls)
In the final hours of the night, Father Sky guides the souls of the departed to the Great Mystery, the next step of life. Those of wicked deeds (but not hearts) are denied this holy duty, forever cursed to wander the branches of the World Tree.
