For the first time, the EU has sanctioned Chinese banks over cooperation with Russia. As part of its 18th sanctions package aimed at weakening Russia’s war machine, the EU has targeted Suifenhe Rural Commercial Bank and Heihe Rural Commercial Bank, both regional lenders.
