I'm replaying Danganronpa and I've just finished the investigation into Sayakas Murder and I can't wait to get into the class trial.

So I do remember who the culprit was but I forget alot of the details from when I last played the game and after investigating, I've gathered my thoughts and this is the conclusion I've come too.

Someone swapped the name plates when Makoto and Sayaka swapped rooms, the culprit didn't know and so when they attacked Sayaka, they thought they where in a girls dorm room and when Sayaka hid inside the bathroom, the culprit thought it was locked because girls bathrooms lock when it was actually just that Makotos door doesn't fit in the frame and so the culprit busted down the door and killed her.

The investigation segments of Danganronpa are pretty cool, I like having the freedom to just look around and ask other characters what they know about the case. Also the scene where Junko dies after stepping on Monokuma with her high heeled boots is just out there and kinda horrifying, where did those spears even come from? But also while her death is important later in the story, here it just feels like they created a character just to have them killed by Monokuma to show the players and characters what happens when you break one of Monokumas rules.

Overall good investigation even though a good portion of the characters did fuck all during the investigation and all said Makoto was the culprit just because she died in his room. RIP Sayaka, our pop queen.
