No, pretty much all of his works were one shot or limited series before yugioh. The baseball manga he made seemed like one of those anime original shows that toei would regularly try to make franchises out of. It lasted about 7 months before it fell through, it didn't even last 50 episodes, it lasted 30. Not even sure if it's possible to find most of these older works and find out what the point of them were because they're so obscure. And I'm not sure why you would judge his later works by his earlier works that had no real success. It wasn't like he was tezuka where he was constantly remaking his early works into new stories.
