It has the same DNA with choice consequences that are more in line with LiS 2. It has all the hallmarks of a LiS game: atmosphere, setting, characters, great music (rivals Music From Before The Storm for me), optional gay stuff for the player etc. I'd argue that Tape 1 is the comfiest thing DN has ever done, rivaling LiS 1's first chapter and LiS 2's Away segments. Way comfier than TC's first chapter. Definitely give it a shot, pirate it first if you must but I've seen plenty of posts by anons that bought it right after because they loved it so much me included. The photo mode is really fun too.
