Boris Johnson is a former British politician and writer. He was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party from 2019 to 2022. Previously, from 2016 to 2018, he was the Conservative government’s Foreign Secretary. He was the Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. He also served as a Member of Parliament, first for Henley from 2001 to 2008, and then for Uxbridge and South Ruislip from 2015 to 2023. From 1999 to 2005, he was the editor of The Spectator, a weekly British political and cultural magazine. He also attended World Economic Forum meetings.

Boris Johnson is a descendant of the Fawcett bloodline, an old English gentry family dating as far back as the Norman invasion of 1066. Boris maternal grandfather, James Fawcett, was the director of studies at the Royal Institute of International Affairs.
