social media and the internet. People don't compromise or settle anymore cause they always see the grass better on the otherside somewhere else, so everyone is either fake or depressed. Along with that many don't go out anymore and just stay one phones. Then when on phones they are bombarded with shit off tiktok or twitter or instagram, full of people trying to be important for attention, and they have to keep doing increasingly fucked up things to get noticed so then that becomes the new norm.

Everyone can see each other and no one feels important anymore.
