Common but not super common does sound hotter. The actual victims feel more songles out in their humiliation, and it makes the game of guys hiding their condition while girls look to uncover nudies far more interesting.
I don't want it to be a situation where most other guys can just safely join in on the teasing, though. This should be some totally misunderstood mystery disease that men can randomly start showing symptoms for from like teenage to 40s. There's loads of stories of famous/well-respected/powerful guys suddenly having their lives flipped into constant humiliation by the suprise onset of the disease.
