I fired my last main client after their main housekeeper gained permanent resident status (former Illegal from Belize). I as so happy for the woman becoming documented, and the only thing our (then-) mutual boss could express was that now she'd "have to start looking for a new housekeeper because this one is going to start getting fussy [standing up for herself]."
A few weeks later, I asked for a raise (including diagrams with comparable wages), only to be told I should be more grateful for free on-site parking (to work on her properties!); that I wasn't worth [the median] wages requested.
So I quit, as did the housekeeper, and now owner's poor trophy husband is having to "pick up all the pieces."
