The business plot is the perfect example of why we cannot let the rich become too powerful

in case you don't know, the business plot was a plan by a bunch of wealthy guys in the United States, to basically overthrow the government and turn it into a fascist country because they didn't like how FDR was costing them money, and while most people usually talk about the fact that Smedley Butler, the guy who was planes to be the leader of this new fascist country was the one who ended up revealing the plot, I think there's something much more interesting about it That is very rarely discussed.

These rich fucks, these incredibly rich and powerful people who would've stayed very rich and very powerful, were willing to overthrow the government, to destroy American democracy, American freedom, the American Constitution, and basically the entire country of America...

Just to protect their money.


this is why we cannot allow the rich to have the power they do, they will cling onto that power and wealth as long and as hard as they possibly can, and they will not care who dies or what we lose because of it.


And as capitalists lose power, they will eagerly embrace fascism as long as it allows them to keep their wealth.

every single fascist dictatorship in history, no matter which country and who was involved, started because of big business.
