I think strongly hating a fictional character and strongly defending one are both symptoms of terminal autism and being unable to see the character as fictonal.
Like at the end of the day Kris isn't real, you aren't hurting them and whatever they do doesn't actually hurt you. They don't exist once you close the game.
Kris exists as part of a narrative, and it is infinitely more productive to try and dissect what that narrative is trying to say, than to observe every action within a bubble. What is the thematic relevance of all the moment-to-moment interactions and what greater purpose to they serve for the story? etc...
