The date was so hot right up until we got home, I got so excited
Kazuya's back is just so cool
This is what you call a likeable protagonist
His kindness is conveyed to Mizuhara and you can really tell he cares for her
If he were to confess with Mizuhara on his back, it would be just like Godai and Kyoko
Miyajima-sensei has really drawn the Reiwa version of Maison Ikkoku so carefully (picrel).
But that's not all. Another thing that attracted me was Mizuhara's monologue. And it wasn't Chizuru, but Ichinose Chizuru. It wasn't me who was playing the role, but the real feeling that I was the main character of the story. A romantic comedy can't be told from the perspective of just the hero or the heroine, both perspectives are important. Miyajima-sensei is good at writing romantic comedies, and hearing Mizuhara's inner thoughts was really refreshing and emotional.

Assuming the monologue is from the future, Ichinose Chizuru, and that although they won't be together in the future, the days she spent with Kazuya were good, just like in the stories, or that her days with Kazuya were good, just like in the stories, so she's now dating. I wonder which one it is. If we want to keep Ruka dating Kazuya, the only option is the former, so even as a Ruka fanatic, it's complicated.

Is he the type of protagonist that people will like? He's not.
He's a typical example of a non-popular person who is not committed.
The only people who don't get it are
Rukakichis.
If I had to add, Miyajima and his editors would be too.
I don't think Rukakichis' heads would be able to understand it, but
