To be clear though, Jesus's life and sacrifice made the rules of the Old Testament obsolete (if you believe the story). It's nothing more than historical context after the resurrection. And the books attributed to Paul were written years after. They were the original jewish subversion of christianity.
Why would any true Christian, at the time or even now, listen to Saul, who never met Jesus, and was not just a jew, but a Pharisee?
The Nicaean council included Paul's books because they saw the subversive value of them to twist the beliefs and exploit believers into a system of government for their own power - Catholicism.
