here's one of my old favs, it's cringy in retrospect but it was cool when it dropped. There's also highway '45 that got mentioned last thread, not completely serious, it's really somewhere in between but it's *clearly* made by and for nazis. I just bring it up because it's peak in terms of the genre. we didn't have a TON that were *purely* serious but there were some by a guy who went by something like faust (I think?) that were pretty good. I lost most of them when my hard drive burned up but there were some crazy edit techniques (for hobbyists) going around too, like masking over a scene and then performing two transitions (one masked and one not) so a scene separates revealing a symbol, and then remerges with itself. Crazy creative stuff.
When I say serious I mean that there were more references to serious subject matter, more esotericism that actually had intent behind it rather than "le mysterious symbol of racism", and sometimes there were included deadpan serious scenes, but a lot of it was still jokey.
