1. Follow Youtube chest guides to 100% everything even the hidden chests to get a lot Primogems. The map will say that you 100% a subregion but in reality there are at least 50 chests lying around
2. Start hoarding Primogems from 5.8 - 6.0 to 6.3 and only pull the giga meta team in the first half. Example: back in 4.8, beta testers were talking about Xilonen, Mavuika, and Citlali. In late 3.X, it was Neuvillette & Furina.
3. Always skip the "Tour Guide" character at the start of every expansion.
