Best case, you have piercing/AoE attacks and the dogs stay close after it splits to instantly nuke it.
Worst case, you dick around waiting for it to go back to 1dog and heal off the inevitable roll catches.
Dog's made of paper, so unless you're playing Guardian you can usually bully it.
