the cheaper bag just looks like picrelated, on both sides I think, the fabric one is a bit more anonymous if you keep one side facing away from people so my shy western ass feels better about taking it on trains and stuff.

It was quite funny though since there was a (probably chinese) bandori fan staying at my hotel and he gave zero fucks packing his plushies in the hotel lobby in front of everyone. I saw people walking around with itabags in kawasaki too, which is pretty bold even by japanese standards.
