That’s another thing. In my day, we took care of our appearance. I hate this sloppy and haggard ‘aesthetic’. I’ve never once worn sweat pants in public. Unless I can’t avoid it, I always wear a collard shirt in public. I won’t even dip down to the convenience store without first taking a shower. Everyone dresses like a derilict these days. They’ll even wear pajamas out and about. And I’m far from fastidious about my appearance. It’s more that people these days seem most comfortable with crapulence in general. No one has a sense of decency. If anything, there’s almost this drive to be as offensive to any sense of decency or propriety. Everyone has horrendous manners — sometimes none at all. Far from “love thy neighbor”, it’s now become more “I’m going to teach you a lesson!”.
It’s a very caustic culture these days. Not just a race to the bottom…a plummeting free fall. Look out below!
