i disagree. i think mandating that entities existing on a higher plane of existence must be aesthetically unintelligible/monstrous is a bit trite. aesthetics, though the most readily accessible characteristic, in fact play a secondary if not tertiary role in cultivation of terror/distance and, moreover, in the context of gacha this is undesirable. the way dain describes the particulars of the hilichurl curse - how it changed khaenriahns on a level that transcends biological or even magical and how it is tied to the very fundaments of their being/existence - does more to display the distance than any ornamental appareling every could. on a meta level, though this too is overplayed, creating a design that generates a mass psychosis field effect wherein 95% of the people that view her design hand wave the fact that she enters the trailer by brutally killing an old lady and a bunch of children and making a crow grotesquely explode with a mere touch is more "lovecraftian" than a tentacle monster or ronova forma de la muchos ojos
