its not exactly a reactor, Arak is heavy water processing and production facility, so its not for power generation. its ostensibly an experimental reactor used to produce isotopes for medical use. because of the heavy water production plant and the use of plutonium there's a theoretical possibility of using that to create a bomb, but its much less efficient than standard enrichment processes and as far as I can see there isn't the infrastructure in place to even start with the process - nevertheless its a major research facility for the Iranian nuclear industry so not surprised its getting yeeted, even if its value to Iran militarily is pretty low.
likely very little chance of radioactive contamination from the site, as they only intended to bring the reactor online in 2026 if I remember correctly
