People don't understand the amazing feat that the politics and decision makers did over that. Many are saying "hurr durr 9000th sanction train, why isn't that shadow fleet torpedoed yet", but they don't understand how they managed to go from a world where the producer has all the leverage in the price to a world where the buyer actually has the leverage. They made it so the spice still flows BUT the producer gets less money out of it. They made it so our economies still work as they should without much impact (and it wasn't guaranteed, remember 2022. I sure did make a killing with my oil stonks). The only drawback is China gets cheaper oil out of it, but even there, while it benefits them, it also benefits us as they produce a lot of shit we buy anyway. China sinking due to high energy cost would have affected us just as much.
No, really, props to the decision makers on how they managed that shit.
