judging from what the staffs posted before df5 is currently in 3d and cgi stage. there could be some retakes for certain parts but i doubt they're starting over.
on the other hand, df6 is still in storyboard stage and is perhaps far from completion. possibly they're delaying df5 on purpose to shorten the wait between 5 and 6.
df5 getting delayed also explains why mllsd was adapted as a stopgap.
