Shit man, I used to have either that exact clock, or a Sharp that looked exactly like it. Probably 1987 or so. I thought the digital readout was so cool.
Everything has changed.
I still have, and use, a VoxClock 2, released in maybe 1985 or so. It has reliably told me of every hour change for 25+ years. And I only need to change batteries once every 5-6 years.
It was the ONLY gift my father can recall receiving from my grandfather. It has a little melody it plays for it's alarm that I've come to think of as a little family tune, connecting 4 generations. My son now hears it daily, too.
