You either trust and love your friends enough to show them off to your parents or you are not.

If you didn't trust them with your life you'd never show them to your parents. I speak from experience on this. You'd bet your life on such friends.

If your parents hate them that's grounds to distance yourself from your parents! Hate to be so blunt but that's just how it is.
