CYL8 will always be a sore spot for Engagefags because it was the moment where after a year of spamming that Engage's haters were "one guy" or a "vocal minority" it got exposed in front of the entire fanbase that basically nobody liked Engage. That caused their attempted gaslighting of the fanbase to collapse and now everybody knows it's unpopular.
It's why they don't care Engage got battered even harder in CYL9. It's the context around CYL8 that makes it so painful for them, it represents the failure of their attempts to gaslight the playerbase.
