Biggest one I guess, Be nice. I mean *fucking* nice to everyone you meet. Get names, play the game. I've been "the favorite coworker" at literally every job I've had and it's gotten me through a lot. A very large number of humans will let you stay with them a couple weeks free if your nice and your clean. I've gotten rides from customers and even stayed with one before, just because I memorized his cigarettes and would have a 90 second conversation about his day when he'd come in.
Kinda the situation I'm in now. I don't *want* to be here, my hookup was a dick. But I kept in touch with him cuz I could feel my last situation being rocky. You don't want to be "street" homeless. If you make it that far, your 99% fucked and ain't coming back from it. Once your kicked far enough down, there isn't any pulling back up without assistance really so keeping on people's list is pretty important.
Funny enough it's why my photos have a lot of different backgrounds lol. Various houses, trailers and apartments.
