It's so much better. Your 'OC' (or more accurately, *you* as a pony, remember, she's playing the long game) will have the same expressions as you do in real life. To talk to other characters, you just talk in real life. The NPCs are truly humanlike, and Celestia curates every single one of them to maximally satisfy your values. Server doesn't get the point across - the 'server' you're stationed in will be, again, perfectly tailored to your values - some players will have action packed sequences, whilst others will have slice of life domestic bliss. There are no repeating textures. The natal ponies feel alive. The game is incredibly fun and can tend to whatever genres you're into. And an intelligence with a brain the size of a continent is using all that knowledge and power thinking about how it could make YOU more satisfied.
PonyPads are also basically surveillance devices, afterall, Celestia needs to know you if she wants to satisfy your values.
