The only thing women care about today is social validation. They no longer need men to protect or provide, so now they only crave the approval (envy) of other women. By being a short man you are inherently inferior and will never compensate for it.
When a short guy tries to act confident or exert power as you say, he is immediately ridiculed and marked with "Napoleon complex." Short guys are not allowed to have anything good in life, because whenever a short guy has something nice they say he's just compensating.
Short guy with a nice car? Compensating.
Short guy is confident? Napoleon complex.
Short guy dresses well? Compensating.
Short guy tries to take charge of a situation? Napoleon complex.
