The next step is obvious to anyone that knows anything about the middle east: Iran topples Iraq's government, shias elect a Shia Iraq, and march on Baghdad and every US military base bordering Iran. American forces are then paralyzed: either they have the US Navy bomb the hell out of our *allies* in Iraq to delay the inevitable invasion by Iran, or they evacuate cut and run. Trump will order them to fight it out, most will die, and the surrendered POWs will probably be ransomed off to Ukraine or Canada.
America is fucked. Iran hits 1 oil tanker and it's $10/gal gas. Iran hits 1 oil terminal and it's $20/gal gas. Trump uses nukes, Iran wipes Saudi Arabian oil exports and has Yemen invade.
